Dr Malcolm Bird’s Retirement as Partner

We would like to inform our patients that Dr Malcolm Bird will be retiring from his role as a Partner at the practice on 31st July 2025, after an incredible 27 years of dedicated service.

Dr Bird has been a valued and respected member of the team, caring for generations of families with compassion and professionalism. While he will be stepping down from his formal responsibilities as a Partner and will no longer hold a regular patient list, we are pleased to let you know that he will continue to support the practice in an ad hoc capacity during school holidays until Spring 2026, helping us manage demand during busy periods.

We know many of you will want to join us in thanking Dr Bird for his years of commitment and wishing him all the best in this new chapter. We have therefore purchased a message book which will be on the counter at Pinhoe Surgery for patients to write in. You can also drop messages into Broadclyst and we will ensure that they are placed into the message book. His presence will be greatly missed, but we are grateful for the continued support he will offer in the months ahead.

Dr Bird's current patients will be transferred across to Dr Constance Fearnley on 1st August. Dr Fearnley works Monday afternoons, Wednesday and Friday all day.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
