Practice Nurses

The Nursing Team at Pinhoe and Broadclyst Medical Practice consists of 5 Registered Nurses, one Nursing Associate, one Treatment Room Assistant and two Healthcare Assistants.  We offer the following expertise to our community of patients:

  • Diabetes support and annual reviews 
  • Respiratory support and annual reviews 
  • Blood pressure monitoring and hypertension annual reviews 
  • Wound care, including ABPI measurements and removal of stitches 
  • Support with minor operations and coil clinics 
  • Child and adult vaccinations, including NHS Travel Vaccines 
  • Injections, including hormone and B12 
  • Cervical sample taking 
  • Mental Health Checks 
  • NHS Health Checks 
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) 
  • Warfarin monitoring and other drug monitoring as part of an Annual Review 
  • Blood sample taking from the age of 10 (special paediatric appointments for under 18) 
 

Treatment Room Assistant

Our HCA Lisa offers a variety of support services to the doctors and nurses including blood tests, ECGs, dressings and assistance with minor surgery. Lisa is based at Pinhoe Surgery.

 

Healthcare Assistants

Leanne and Sophie are our HCA who take bloods, perform ECGs, monitors blood pressure and carries out mental health check physical examinations.

  • Leanne is based at Broadclyst Surgery.
  • Sophie is based at Pinhoe Surgery.
 

Phlebotomists

Our Phlebotomist takes blood and carries out blood pressure checks.

 

Midwives

The community midwives are not based at the surgery and can be contacted via 01392 405440.

 

Community Nurses

The community nurses are not based at the surgery. The community nurses provide nursing care to house bound patients.
