Occupational Therapist

We have an Occupational Therapist who works from our Pinhoe site but also out in the community. Referrals to the Occupational Therapist are arranged through your GP.

 

First Contact Physiotherapists

We have two First Contact Physiotherapists who works from both our Pinhoe sites on Tuesday and a Friday. Referrals to the First Contact Physiotherapists are arranged through your GP.

 

Primary Care Dietitian

Our Dietitian provides dietary advice to aid in the management of a range of medical conditions including; diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, food allergy and intolerance, IBS, and frailty/malnutrition. You may be offered an appointment in a group or one to one setting, either face to face or by phone. An initial assessment will last around 40mins and involve a detailed discussion around your medical history, symptoms, eating patterns and food choices.

If you think you would benefit from seeing the Dietitian please let your GP or nurse know.

 

Paramedics

Our Paramedics work alongside a GP each working day to manage the urgent on the day demand. They will also visit patients are home where medically necessary. In addition, they help with the covid and influenza vaccination clinics.

 

Clinical Pharmacists

Our Clinical Pharmacists assist the GPs with tasks such as medicine reconciliation following a stay in hospital. They can also help with medication queries. They hold weekly medication review clinics and carry these out at care homes too.
