We are a dispensing practice with our dispensary based at the Broadclyst surgery.
We are only allowed to dispense for those patients who live more than 1 mile/1.6km from a pharmacy (as the crow flies).
You can use this link to check if you are eligible to use the dispensary. Type your postcode into the search bar and if you are NOT in a blue circle, you are able to use the dispensary (strict rules are set by the Government regarding this).

Collection of medication from the dispensary

We can issue, dispense and have your regular repeat medication waiting for you to collect without you having to place an order. Once we have received a completed consent form a confirmation will be sent you detailing which of your medicines are suitable for this service.

We can provide weekly medication dosage systems in blister packs, please speak to the dispensary team if you feel you need this.

 

Free home delivery of medication (subject to suitability)

  • Deliveries happen every weekday morning. We aim to reach you by 2pm.
  • Or collection can be made at one of our drop off points: Broadclyst Post Office; Clyst St Mary Post Office; Whimple Post Office; Stoke Canon Post Office; Cranbrook Vets

Please note

Any requests received after 6pm will be processed the next working day.
Please order in plenty of time. We recommend that you place your orders one week before you need your delivery.
If you aren’t sure whether you are eligible for dispensing, just ask at reception.

Prescription dispensing

Our skilled dispensary team is here to dispense your prescriptions accurately and promptly. We work closely with our clinicians to ensure that you receive the correct medication and dosage.

Medication advice

Our dispensers are knowledgeable but not clinically trained. They can help you to book with who can give you advice and answer any questions you may have about your medications.

Repeat prescriptions

For your convenience, we offer a repeat prescription service. You can easily request your repeat medications online using the NHS app or Patient Access or in person, and we will have them ready for you to collect.

Automatic repeat medication service

We offer an automatic repeat medication service. This means we request repeat medication on your behalf every month and get them ready. We also offer a home delivery service.

Who can use the dispensary?

Patients registered at Pinhoe and Broadclyst Medical Practice and who live at least 1 mile / 1.6km as the crow files from any other pharmacy may obtain their medication from the dispensary. We can also dispense to temporary residents. If you are unsure please ask our PSA team to check your eligibility.

When is the dispensary open?

What to do when practice is closed

If you need medication when the practice is closed please telephone 111 who can arrange a prescription to be sent electronically to your preferred community pharmacy.

Take your repeat medication slip to any community pharmacy who may be able to give you an emergency supply.

Problems, concerns, complaints or compliments?

If you have a problem with your medication or dispensary, please speak to one of our dispensers or Dispensary Business Manager in the first instance. We can usually resolve any issues quickly.
